Replacing your old pipes

Old water pipes can leak and have low water pressure.  Some could even cause lead poisoning.

If you have a home that was built before 1986 and it has galvanized pipes.  You could have lead in your pipes.  Lead poisoning could cause developmental problems in babies and young children.  Adults could be affected by lead poisoning by experiencing  high blood pressure and kidney damage.

Old pipes could become clogged with sediment and mineral deposits over the years.  These contaminants will form on the pipes and cause low water pressure.

Acidic water will deteriorate the pipe inside out.  It could cause galvanized pipes to leak.

Rust and lead could cause drinking water to have an odd odor and taste.  It may even cause your clothing to be stiff and look dingy.
